Why Love Us

Great Teacher
My first goal as an Early Child Educator is to create a welcoming learning environment for all of my children. Each child’s ideas and opinions are valued. Children build trust by staying with one primary caregiver over time, one person who's attuned to your child's temperament. We create a high quality-learning environment and build a thorough understanding of best practices for them to feel safe to express their feelings and learn to respect and listen to others. I'm a warm, accessible, enthusiastic and caring person.

Eating Well
Eating Well with Canada's Food Guide. Eating the recommended amount and type of food each day and limiting foods and beverages high in calories, fat, sugar or salt. My Children love everything that goes on in the kitchen and want to be part of it. Vegetables are more appealing when you do your own salad from tomatoes and lettuce planted in your own back yard - We grow it together! Smart Snacking-Young children especially benefit from snacks as they have small stomachs and may have trouble eating all of the foods they need at meal time.

Excellent Programmes
Finding an excellent Early Learning Center is the foremost concern for every family. We are an accredited day home, that offers creative, joyful and educational age appropriate activities, reinforced by Alberta Frame Work, our exciting Frog Street Curriculum designed to optimize learning and development for our littles ones, and supported by The Creative Curriculum program to create responsive daily routines and meaningful learning experiences combined with children's interest as well. All materials are in English and Spanish.

As you already know. I have closed my Dayhome busi As you already know. I have closed my Dayhome business (the change of our page’s name is in process. I have to wait according to social media rules.) However, I will be offering consulting services in Early Learning and Child Care, I am able to share ideas based on my knowledge and experience as a volunteer contribution to my ECE community, families and anyone who is interested in the subject.

I will be doing videos with music, dance, reading, art/craft and Spanish activities for our little ones as well.

Learning through play has NEVER been this fun. YES!
Last year, on April 30th, 2019, we made these stic Last year, on April 30th, 2019, we made these sticks. I took the idea from the Internet; the different aspect of it was I used recycled/loose parts. ( the bubble sticks)

This I how I made it.

I bought bubble sticks and string lights.

First, use the bubble sticks as a summer activity. (bubble day) Once the sticks were empty, let them dry out. Then, place the lights inside using the cork’s light as a lid to close the sticks. Glue with hot glue.

The cork didn’t fit the stick’s hole, so I made some cuts around the hole, then softened/ smoother with sandpaper.

Warning ⚠️ I used hot glue to glue the battery compartment door for safety reasons. (children might open the little door and take the battery out)

Perhaps you can make some candy canes. Enjoy! #sensoryactivity

Loving Teachers

My daughter loves it here. Nery is passionate about early learning and a dedicated caregiver. I wouldn’t ask for anything more.

Jasmine Winter (mom of Camille), 24 April 2017

My daughter comes home with beautiful artwork and new songs after every class and always eager to share with us the incredible stories of what they did at the dayhome. She always has a good time. I would recommend Nery’s dayhome to anyone with young children. I think it’s the best daymome in the area.

Kate Clegg (mom of Olivia), 15 feb 2017

We’re so thrilled to have found Nery’s Dayhome for our daughter. Not only is it an incredibly supportive environment for working parents, with flexible options, but Nery is also so caring and patient with the children. We are happy with her.

Karin and Albert (parents of Maya), 20 November 2016

One of the best decisions we ever made as parents was sending our daughter, Roberta to Growing Up Day Home. Nery’s Day Home is Wonderful, her happy environment and fabulous programs are the core ingredients, which make it such a top Day Home in Edmonton.

Emily Noble (mom of Roberta), 15 May 2017
